For many, Xavier University is home away from home, a place to grow, develop, and learn. It is where we meet new friends, find new interests, and learn more about the paths we want to take. Most Xavier students will set out on new adventures after graduation, either returning home to mom and dad, or setting out to explore new cities and states.
Sounds great, right?
Here at the Career Development Office, we know for some students, it’s not that easy. As an international student, there are separate challenges and hurdles, one of the biggest being,
“Where can I get a job?”
Well worry not, my global friends. We have the tools and knowledge to get you where you want to go!
With this tool, the search can’t get any easier! Going Global can be accessed through your Hire-A-Muskie account, with the link located on the lower left-hand side of the homepage. It provides resources for finding jobs in different cities, states, and countries. It is easy to use and explore, offering job descriptions, locations, salaries, costs of living, and more. One of the best parts? The site breaks the employers down by state, with the basic search providing the top companies who supply the H1B visa. That means with one search, you can access 250 companies per state that offer jobs to international employees!
